Ms.
Clardy concentrates in the field of family probate and civil law and has
over fifteen years of experience.
Ms.
Clardy
is a longtime community and professional volunteer. Her list of
Additionally, Ms. Clardy’s past and present services includes serving as a board member of the Dallas Bar Association’s Family Law Section, chair of the State Bar’s General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section, and president of the Best Southwest Bar Association and president of the Concerned DeSoto Citizens (CDC) organization. She is also a co-founder of the Dallas Association of
Black Women’s Attorneys (DABWA, which subsequently merged
with the J.L.Turner Legal Association). From 2002-2008, she served
as a member of the DeSoto, Texas City Council, with her last year
serving as Mayor Pro Tem of that council.

Presently,
Ms.
Clardy serves as a board member of the Dallas Bar Association’s
Family Law Section council and as incoming chair of the State Bar
of Texas’ General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section’s
council in 2010-11. |
Her
honors
and awards include receipt of the J.L.Turner’s Committed Mentor
Award, Big Sister of the Year for the Southern Dallas region, the
NAACP’s Juanita Craft Award in Law, “Who’s Who in
American Law”, and the Baird Community Service Award. She has
also spoken at several local and state bar meetings. |
Ms.
Clardy is a graduate of Tennessee State University where she received
her B.S. degree in Political Science cum laude, and her law degree
from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. |
